“SORRY….MY MISTAKE”

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Psalms 51:1-2 KJV

The world is full of wrongdoings.  A lot of them we hear about from individuals or on the news.

The truth be told, we are all guilty of doing something, be it a thought, something that we say or an action that we take, that is not pleasing to God.

Just like David, all of us have sinned and come short of God’s glory.

Whatever the situation, we should humbly go before the Lord and pray. Ask the Lord for forgiveness. But when we ask, we must be sincere and repent.

David did this.  He prayed for mercy as he cried unto the Lord and confessed his sins.

We have nothing to fear when going to the Lord, telling Him all about the things we are going through and the hardships we have caused ourselves.

Yes, He already knows what they are but He wants us to acknowledge them.

1John 1:9 KJV tells us:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

That’s when the blood of Christ, rains lightly upon our inner feelings, blots out our transgressions, reconciles us to God and to ourselves.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, just like David prayed, we ask you to have mercy upon us, according to thy lovingkindness and the multitude of thy tender mercies.  Blot out our transgressions. Wash us throughly from our iniquities, and cleanse us from our sin. Thank you Lord.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
