Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 1:12 KJV
We all know that scary movies are full of darkness and fear.
The main character comes face to face with the enemy.
The scenes keep us wondering how they will survive.
The character determines where his strength lies.
They begin to figure out how they are going to do things.
Using all their wisdom and knowledge to defeat the enemy.
Showing that what was inside of them was greater than anything that came against them.
With everything that is going on around us, we feel like the powers of darkness are taking over the world.
There is so much hatred and fear.
That is when we use the wisdom and knowledge we obtain from the Word.
It is good to know that the Father has a Word of hope for any situation that we face.
Instead of us letting fear and despair overtake us we must remember Paul’s words to Timothy.
The letter that would encourage him in his time of fear.
He told him to, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life” (1 Timothy 6:12 KJV).
That he was to let nothing keep him from living his life according to what the Lord has said.
That there were Heavenly benefits to come.
The same continues to remain true to this day.
The reading of the Word and our faith in God conquers any fears or doubts we may be having.
He has a plan of protection that covers us in any situation we face.
We must keep the faith.
Life is greater when we do.
We must continue to remind ourselves to hold to the knowledge of His goodness.
That the power He has given us will always be triumphant over the enemy.
Never forgetting that the day will come when we who are in Christ shall reign victorious with Him forever.
The triumphs of Heaven will be ours.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, life can be scary. Through all our battles, let us hold fast to the fact that good will always beat any evil that comes our way. Knowing that one day when it is all over, we will see You and Reign with You forever. With You there is always a victorious ending.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
