How to Overcome Every Conflict with His Awesome Wisdom

Read: James 3:13-18

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

James 3:13 KJV

The meaning of the word ‘meekness’.

In Greek it is translated to mean strength under control.

It is said that in ancient Greece, war horses were trained to be meek.

It allowed them to be strong and powerful yet under control and willing to submit.

We face many situations in life.

Some that if not maintained can result in heated arguments.

That is when meekness should take the lead.

When we possess this ability, we realize how strong and powerful we are.

We won’t feel the need to cause any emotional pain.

Realizing that arguing does not help.

That it usually causes more harm than good to the relationship.

We all need to conduct our discussion as the Word says.

To do them with pure motives in mind.

Listening carefully, thinking honestly, and responding gently.

The Lord has always desired that we use Heavenly Wisdom as opposed to that which is of the world.

We all have a right to voice our opinions.

How we voice them makes the difference.

As Christians, we should strive to ensure we demonstrate meekness.

Jesus is our ultimate example of what it means to be meek (Matthew 11:29 KJV).

Something every one of us must work on daily.

Only good comes from it.

We find rest for our souls.

Let us choose our words wisely.

Striving to handle ourselves in a positive manner.

I was reading a devotional that ended with this statement.

“Meekness is the strength to back down from a fight You know You could win.”

It can be hard at times, but we can do it with the Lord on our side.

In Him all our strength lies.

The meekness of wisdom always wins in the end.
