If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36 KJV
We know that today is Veterans Day here in the United States.
It is a day when we take the time to honor those men and women who have fought to protect the freedoms we all enjoy.
There are parades in which veterans of all branches of the military march proudly, carrying the American Flag.
There will be bands marching and playing the National Anthem.
We are thankful for them not only today, but every day.
God has always chosen men and women to fight for what is right.
The same should holds true when we think about Jesus.
God chose Him to fight for what is right.
The earth was full of sin.
God sent His Son to fight the battle against it.
That to this day He is still fighting to defend us against the enemy.
That is why every day on our Christian walk, we should be giving thanks for this Mighty Soldier,
He fought the greatest fight.
A fight that has given us spiritual freedom.
Not just today, but any day, take the time today to thank those who have so willingly served to protect us.
The main One being our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we are thankful for those men and women who answered the call to defend and protect us. The sacrifices that they made. Just like we read in the Bible, You have always been leading and guiding us to victory over sin and the ways of the world. We are thankful that Jesus heard the call and answered. Because of the battles He fought and won, we have the spiritual freedom we need to live a blessed life. We know that there will always be a battle to fight. But with You we have the victory. Thank You that in Christ we are free indeed.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
