When Salvation is Being Tested – Strong Belief Brings Results

Read: 1 John 2:1-4

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jes us Christ the righteous.
1 John 2:1 KJV

Sin comes in many forms.

At any time, we can find ourselves in bad situations.

With the way things are in the world, it is easy for us to get off track.

They put us in a place of wishing we had done things another way.

Wishing we had made better choices in our lives.

We found ourselves wondering how we were going to make it.

Hoping someone would be around to help us.

That is where our knowledge of the Word is our hope.

It has the best advice regarding the decisions we make.

The Word is always there for us.

Leading and guiding us in the right direction.

John was one of many who found himself in this position.

His message clearly shows that he trusted the Lord.

That is why he wrote to others telling them not to sin.

Reminding all that were listening of the fact that Christ covered all our sins; the sins of the world (1 John 2:2).

That we all should be keeping His commandment, showing that we truly know Christ (1 John 2:3).

That we understand what our consequences are when we don’t do things according to the Word.

As saved believers, when we find ourselves in a sinful state, we must remember that “we have an (Advocate) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1).

God is always encouraging us to make the right decisions.

He loves us so much that He sent us a Protector.

Someone to help make the changes needed.

The One who desired to help improve mankind.

Jesus is our Protector.

He is the One who obeyed the law of God and lived a life of righteousness.

Jesus’ death and resurrection gives us the ability to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable.

One that is free from sin.

He has placed it in the hearts of those who believe to help continue to spread the Word.

Making us disciples of the Word.

It is good to know that the Savior is there to protect us.

But we all have a personal duty to follow His lead and do the right thing.

To be like John and spread the Word like God has commanded.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, thank You for allowing Jesus to be our Advocate and Protector. He was the One to come into this world and be the atoning sacrifice for our sins and the sins of the whole world. Let us continue to remember the salvation the Word brings and bear the good news to others. We are grateful for all that You have done for us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
