Important: You Need to Know the Ranking – Faith Relationships

Read: 2 Corinthians 6:1-10

But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses…By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned (2 Corinthians 6:4,6 KJV)

There will always be a time in our lives when we try hard not to let certain things bother us.

There will come a time when our patience has reached its limit.

Those are the times we must take a deep breath.

Have our own personal devotion time and pray.

Asking the Lord for the wisdom and patience needed to handle our situations.

The Apostle Paul, as a minister of God, is someone who has testified to how he has handled this type of situation.

How he handled things with “patience”.

Patience “in afflictions, in necessities, [and] in distresses” (2 Corinthians 6:4).

Knowing that “by pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, [and] by love unfeigned” (2 Corinthians 6:6), it is possible.

He wasn’t trying to glorify himself and what he had done.

He was reminding us that longsuffering is evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in a Christian’s life (Galatians 5:22-23).

That we will all have our moments when our patience will be tested.

Times when the things we are facing cause us to lose patience.

But not to give in to any of it.

To remember that “greater is [He] that is in [us], than [He] that is in the world (1John 4:4).

Paul is encouraging us to make it our goal to have a love for others that “suffers long and is kind” (1 Corinthians 13:4).

Never forgetting that the Lord has given us the ability to handle all things in a positive way.

That it will become easier to do when we think about how patient God has been with each of us.

We all are a “work in progress”.

We all have things we need to fix in our lives.

He is not through with us yet.

Our progress looks good as we read the Word daily.

The more we pray for wisdom.

And live according to what He tells us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, there are things in life that try our patience. That causes us to complain. Help us to remember that as believers all we need is the grace You supply. The grace that arms us against temptations. The grace that makes a way out of no way. Thank You for all that You are doing for us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
