Use Wise Words – Advice That Will Change Your Life

Read: Proverbs 18:1-8

A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. Proverbs 18:7 KJV

People have problems with how and what they say.

“Be careful what you say.”

A phrase I heard many times as I was growing up and still to this day.

It has a lot of meaning.

Many don’t realize this until they experience it for themselves.

We all must remember that the things we say can have a positive or negative affect on a situation.

The Word has warned us about the way we speak.

It tells us that, “he who guards his mouth preserves his life” (Proverbs 13:3).

We are also told that, “A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul” (Proverbs 18:7).

Think about how many uncomfortable situations could have been prevented if we would learn to control our tongues.

Heartaches avoided when we guard our speech.

Our words have to be monitored.

Having problems guarding your tongue?

We all have our moments.

Those are the times to remember we can always ask the Lord for help in any situation.

The Word is filled with the knowledge we need for anything we go through in life.

Always try to take the time to think before speaking.

Let the words spoken be few in number.

It can be hard at times, but by faith all things are possible.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Savior, we cause ourselves more problems when we fail to govern our speech. The words we speak has an impact on those we are speaking with. Let us govern our tongues and watch the words that come out of our mouths. Help us to keep them few and sweet.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
