But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1 Corinthians 15:20 KJV
The death of a loved one can sometimes be hard to overcome.
Grieving is painful and we all handle our losses in different ways.
For some it will be a time when it seems impossible to handle the simplest tasks, or to get through one day.
Those are the times when our relationship with the Lord gives us the ability to deal with our loss.
Even as the years go by, we can rely on Him to be there for us.
Reminding us that He has faced death, rose again, and is still there for loved ones.
The Word tells us, “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:10).
Although Paul was facing a different circumstance, the message is still telling us that we can depend on God’s grace.
Yet another reason why the Father has blessed many to sing inspirational songs that contain lyrics that speak to many situations.
Those that remind us of all that He desires for us.
One that is of comfort is the song “Because He Lives”.
It ministers to the fact that because of everything the Lord went through on the cross was for our strength in times such as these.
For all that we will face in life.
Death is just one of the many things we face.
None of us can know how we will react when our loved one is taken.
But knowing that our loved one lived according to the Word, is our comfort.
That their death has led them to victory.
That they will see the lights of glory, are resting peacefully and one day we will all be together again.
The more we hold tight to the comfort and hope we find in today’s Scripture, our losses become easier to bear.
We can rejoice because our loved one is with the Savior.
Resting until the Rapture comes, and we all live a lavish life in Heaven.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Heavenly Father, by faith we are all united with to Christ. We praise You for the grace You bestow on our lives. We don’t know where we would be if it had not been for Your all the blessings You bestow on us. Fill us with the wisdom and strength for all the decisions we will make. May we continue to trust in Your grace through all the things we face in this lifetime. Knowing there will be a time when we all live a lavish life.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
