But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 KJV
It is not uncommon for any of us to find ourselves worrying.
It’s usually about our financial needs.
But we know it can be about other things that are happening in our lives also.
Those are the times when we should talk to the Lord and finally decide to turn it all over to Him.
While we are waiting something on the inside lets us know that God will take care of us and all our needs.
Looking at Matthew 6, we see that Jesus referred to His Father’s care of the “fowls of the air” and the “lilies of the field.”
He did it to show His desire to meet our material needs (vv.26, 28-29).
It showed our need to focus on our spiritual priorities as well.
How instead of us focusing and worrying about our personal needs, we should be placing more thought on God’s kingdom.
Focusing on His righteousness and the joy it brings.
When we do, blessings flow.
There is no doubt that not some, not most, but all the things that we need will be supplied.
Every bit of our happiness will be found when we take the Lord as our God.
When we trust in His wisdom.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, our lives can be filled with many ups and downs. Ones that cause us so many reasons to worry and have doubts on how we will make it. It is a comfort to know we can talk to You about it all and leave it with You. To seek You first is the wisest thing we can do.
