Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 1 Samuel 17:45 KJV
From the beginning of creation there has been many who have rejected Christ.
They are someone who doesn’t believe something is true unless they see proof.
To this day there is still a growing number.
Despite the evidence, people are refusing to accept the facts that support our belief in God and creation.
As disciples for God, we sometimes find it hard to witness to them.
We wonder why we should even try to present Christ to them when they won’t listen.
Even though they don’t believe or want to listen, we need to remain steadfast in proclaiming the Word because there is someone who will.
Our testimonies help more than we know at times.
We have the ability to defeat the enemy and bring others to Christ.
David is an example that it is the way.
He did it when he said that with God’s help he would defeat Goliath (1 Samuel 17:45-47).
He knew that even though what he believed might not be proven at that moment, he knew that the One he served would show Himself to be the true and living God.
He did and He still does to this day.
When we face these times, we must continue to be committed to spreading the truth of His Word.
David knew this by the humility, faith and obedience he showed.
He was not giving up on his mission.
Neither should we.
We can say like David, “O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me” (Psalms 25:2).
Keep speaking, someone will hear you and receive.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, from the beginning of time there have been those who don’t believe. They have their doubts about who You are. Let us be the evidence they need. To be a living testimony of the grace You desire to give each of us. Turning their doubts into belief. We put our trust in You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
