Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV
Christ was the first Ambassador sent by God.
An ambassador in a land that was not His home.
He was here to do the will of God.
To be a model for redemption.
Christ paved the way for us, as Christians, to become ambassadors for God.
We have been officially placed here to represent God all over the world.
But for us to accomplish our mission, we must be reliable and ready to do the work.
We already know what it means to be redeemed.
We know what we must do.
To start. have a positive attitude and conversations with others.
We can’t be the one that is slow to let others know about Christ.
We must be the one that is ready to tell everybody how God has “reconciled us to [Himself]” and has “given to us the ministry of reconciliation” (vv. 18-19).
How the Savior made Himself, who knew no sin, to be sin for us. All so we might be made righteous (v.21).
Making us all new creations and bringing an end to us being strangers with God.
Our focus is to be the living testimony and spread the Word of how anyone can repent of their sins.
Ask for forgiveness, and humbly submit to the Lord.
We are “Kingdom Citizens” and Heaven is our home.
We all should desire to have a relationship that allows us to become citizens of the kingdom and serve as Christ’s ambassadors (v.20).
Knowing that when all our work is done, we have a home in Heaven.
A home where there will be rejoicing every day.
No more heartaches, pains, or fears.
It will be like a well-earned retirement with a whole lot of benefits.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we are ambassadors for You. Citizens redeemed by Your precious blood. Heaven is our home. But we are on a mission to fulfill the assignment You have given us. Let us be the ones that truly spread Your Word and help others desire to be ambassadors for You as well. We are striving to do our assignments here on earth in a positive manner so we can make it to our Heaveny home with You. A home where there will be rejoicing every day. We want to make You proud of us.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
