Jesus, The Centerpiece of All We Believe

Read: Hebrews 3:1-6

But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Hebrews 3:6 KJV

There are many who are faithful and dedicated to their family, home, job, and church.

Their faithfulness does not go unnoticed.

It is something that is acknowledged by those who know them and continues to live on after they are no longer with us.

Hebrews 3 tells us about one such person and the fact that he was faithful.

His name is Moses, one of God’s servants.

The Jews had a high opinion of the faithfulness of Moses.

He knew Christ was the Master of this house, of his church, his people, as well as their Maker.

He walked in faith.

He was a good example for the people.

We all could learn from what he did.

How none of us are perfect.

While we strive to remain faithful and stay on the right track, we have our moments when temptations cause us to stray.

When we have these moments, we must remember how, despite all He went through, Jesus remained a faithful servant and a faithful Son.
His faithfulness never changed or left reason for doubt and still holds true to this day.

He followed the lead of God despite the temptations He faced (Hebrews 2:2).

It can be hard, but Christ has made a way for us all.

So, when temptation comes our way, we need to meditate and “take a good hard look at Jesus” (Hebrews 3:1 MSG).

He is our encouragement when temptations come our way because He has been through it all (Hebrews 2:18).

That is why the faithfulness of Jesus is what we, as believers, are taught to focus on (v. 1).

“He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave Him to do (Hebrews 3:1 MSG).

Jesus is our Savior, our Healer, and the great Physician of our souls.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, while Moses is one example of our ability to be faithful when called to watch over each other, the Lord is the greatest example. The One who really shows what it means to faithfully watch over God’s house. We are His house. He gives us the courage to be a part of the family. The more we follow His lead, the more we can “hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory”. The Lord’s leading empowers us to love, honor, and live a life that shows what it means to be a part of God’s house. Thank You Savior.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
