Prayer Is for Every Need and Situation

Read: Psalms 130

My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Psalms 130:6 KJV

When we pray, we are making our requests known unto God and giving Him thanks for the things He has done and will be doing in our lives.

We don’t always have to be on our knees when we pray.

We can pray while we are walking, driving, working or anytime we feel a need to talk to Him.

No matter what our prayer is about, we must wait for an answer.

They don’t always come in the timeframe we want, but God does answer.

In this passage, the psalmist is writing about the deep distress he was facing and the need for relief for his sin-entangled soul.

He prayed because he knows that God was the only One who could give him this relief.

After praying, he waited patiently for the Lord to respond (v.6).

The psalmist is an example of someone who trusted in God’s faithfulness to help bring him through the darkest of times.

He knew that the Lord would give him the strength and hope needed to make it through.

When we study the Scriptures, we find the strength we need to keep waiting patiently for a reply to our prayers.

We are to stay encouraged.

Never give up.

Even when we are in the middle of a dark night, dawn is coming.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know that when we pray and wait on You, we shall receive mercy, grace, and peace. You are our light in darkness. Thank You for allowing us to wake to another day filled with answers to our questions. We are so thankful that we have put our trust in You.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
