And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 1 Corinthians 12:26 KJV
As a team, each person has a part to play in its success.
There may be a time when someone falls behind on their assignment.
They become frustrated, and the team notices it.
They ask for help because they want things to get better.
They don’t want to be the reason the team wasn’t successful.
Those are the times when the team gets together, giving support and encouragement to that member.
Being a support to one another determines the success or failure of the team accomplishing their goal.
They all want to be successful.
The success of the team gives them a reason to rejoice.
All through 1 Corinthians, Chapter 12, the Apostle Paul used the word body to describe Christians around the world.
He was telling us about the importance of being a member of a team.
How we are responsible to help each other in our times of need.
How we can rejoice when we see one another succeed in our endeavors to please the Lord, who is the Head of it all.
He said, “Whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26).
He said, “God hath tempered the body together” (v. 24).
He was talking about the whole body of Christ. All Christians.
How we all must work together.
Acknowledging that we are all part of the same body and if one of us hurts, we all hurt.
That when one of our brothers or sisters faces persecution, grief, or trials, we hurt as if we are experiencing the same things.
Christ is the Head and wants nothing more than to take care of His body.
No matter the position we are in, we are an important part of the body.
Our work is not in vain.
What we do is playing an important part in accomplishing the final goal of salvation for all.
That is why we should not hesitate to show compassion and encouragement to one another.
We all should have a desire to do whatever we can to aid in helping one another be successful.
With Christ, we are closely united by a strong bond of love.
An Agape Love that helps us to encourage and build each other up.
Because that is how a true team that has Christ as the Head works together.
We are always there for each other.
Making things work for our good.
With prayer and faith, the body is made whole.
We have a spirit of union, and there is no room for fear and doubt.
All our endeavors will end in pleasing the Lord.
The Master of all things.
With Him as the Head of all things, we cannot fail.
Giving us a reason to be thankful and rejoice.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know we are all members under Your guidance. That we all have different powers and different places in the body. That we are to do the duties You have given us and not speak ill or quarrel with each other. All of us are members of the body; useful and necessary to each other. We should depend on and help one another. Having a spirit of union. We are all in this together. It is for our good. We want to do everything that pleases You when it is all done.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
