Positive Communication

Read: Ephesians 4:22-32

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 4:29 KJV

Some good conversations do not come easy.

The words they speak are always more negative than positive.

They seem to have no desire to understand the troubles of others.

They have problems with reaching out to others, being tenderhearted and showing kindness to them.

When we can speak, we should speak as the Apostle Paul did.

He spoke words of encouragement.

Words that he hoped it would change the way the person was thinking and feeling.

The same words he spoke to them applies to our lives.

We need to replace the old man and “put on the new man, which after God is crated in righteousness and true holiness (v.24).

To let go of all the negative things and think in a more positive manner.

We will be given a new life by our faith in Jesus.

Knowing that He has everything we need to make our lives better.

When we accept what the Lord is saying, the Holy Spirit begins a transformation in us.

Our God is a God of compassion.

One that puts us in a position to fulfill the Lord’s command to “not let any unwholesome talk come out of [our] mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” (Ephesians 4:29 NIV).

Just like someone was there for us when we needed help getting back on the right track.

The Lord desires that we touch the lives of other by reaching out to them and giving them words of encouragement.

He is working on our hearts daily.

Defeating all the negative things.

Reminding us that we are never alone.

The Lord is always there for us.

Supplying all our needs.

Our discipleship lets others know that we all need “to be made new in the attitude of our minds” (Ephesians 4:23).

The way we speak will be more positive.

Many needs will be met.

A change that is good for us all.

Blessings will flow even more.

Desire to the one to help make it happen.

With the Lord, it can be done.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, may the love and kindness You have shown us be felt by those we talk too. We all need to show compassion to each other. Use us today to bring someone hope. To bring a Word of encouragement that will lighten the burden they are carrying.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
