Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Psalms 51:10 KJV
We all know that with any disaster it takes a great deal of time and effort to clean things up.
Sin is one of the biggest disasters we face in life.
We too often allow it to take hold of our lives.
To allow it to cause us too much grief and pain.
When we finally realize how serious our situations have become, the cleanup seems too hard to attempt.
Thankfully there is hope for any situation we face.
Because of the grace God bestows on us it is not as hard as it could be.
But we must be truly committed to changing the way we do things.
It may take some time.
But our faith and prayers make it all possible.
We must really want to live a sin-free life.
David, again, is our prime example that it is possible.
That prayer is the key to admit what we have done and our desire to make things right.
Like David, we must first acknowledge our sins and asked to be cleansed.
Having a desire to rejoice and hear joy and gladness (Psalms 51:7-8 KJV.).
We each must say to Him, “Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities” (Psalms 51:9 KJV).
Saying, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalms 51:10 KJV).
The Lord knows our hearts and our sins.
Through our confessions, we really understand it is not by our own power to amend anything, it is truly of God.
Like David, every true believer should want to be renewed to a state of holiness and the joy of His salvation.
God is the God of salvation.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that disasters come in different ways. It is when we allow them to overtake us and handle them the wrong way that the real troubles come. Our sins seem to be more and more. Deliver us from the guilt of sin. Create a new and holy spirit in us. We want to defeat sin and receive Your salvation.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
