Communicating Effectively

Read: Matthew 10:16-23

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matthew 10:20 KJV

The words we utter express our thoughts, opinions, or feelings.

Our tone of voice will influence the way they receive what we are saying.

Their willingness to listen to what you are saying.

While doing the work of the Lord, we need to govern the way we speak.

Praying that the Lord will guide our tongues every day.

We never know who we may meet that needs a Word from the Lord.

It may not always be received well, but we still need to present it well.

The Lord warned the disciples to prepare for persecution.

That they would be facing hostile authorities.

He provided them with the wisdom.

Wisdom to avoid those things that would give the enemy any advantages over them.

The Lord told them that the Father would give them the Words to say (Matthew 10:19-20).

He is dealing fairly and faithfully with us.

He does this by telling us about all the troubles we can encounter while in His service.

Just like He did with the disciples, He will give us the wisdom in those moments that we need them most.

As we choose to live for Him, we are not to worry about how we speak.

There is no need to worry if we allow the Spirit of our Father to speak through us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, as we live for You, we know that true wisdom is ours. It comes when we have a heart filled with faith. A faith in You that gives us the right words to speak. To speak the right words needed at any times of crisis. Thank You Father.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
