And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9 KJV
All over the world there is the opportunity to do volunteer work.
Be it in church, a non-profit organization, missionary work, or in a school.
In any area where assistance is needed.
When we do it, it is all for a good cause.
There will be times when we feel our efforts aren’t accomplishing anything.
This is usually because we receive little or no gratitude from the people we are trying to help.
Grant it, this is not always the case.
Often, we don’t see the results of doing good until much later.
The same holds true in our faith walk.
Many of us excuse ourselves from the work of the Lord.
We make a show of and profess to have faith.
Trying to live the right way.
But because we are not recognized for the work we are doing; we start to volunteer less of our time.
Each day of our lives is considered, “seed time.”
The seed that is planted in our lives only grows well when we live by the Word.
Remembering that the seeds we plant, will need to be watered.
Knowing that in their season, if they have been properly watered, we will continue to grow in faith.
Our faith will determine how we will make it in life.
As we live under the guidance and influences of the Holy Spirit, we can live a life filled with faith.
We will prosper and abound in Christian graces.
Yes, we want to be recognized for what we do.
It is human nature to want it.
What we have to remember is the Father sees and knows all.
He is giving us blessings on everything we do.
Even more the reason for us to not stop being a blessing to others.
While we live, there will be a time when we will receive a reward for all the things we have done.
But even more, when we are called home, we shall of the Spirit be rewarded with a life everlasting.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we all need to take care to do that which is good in our lifetime. That we should watch and guard ourselves; not feeling as though our work is in vain. That only through our continued desire to do those things which are pleasing to You, will we receive the reward promised. We are conquerors when we endure.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
