Read: 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10
For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing. 1 Thessalonians 1:8 KJV
We all know that the Gospel of Christ is something that all should desire to have in their lives.
It has the most powerful effect upon our hearts and our lives.
In the Gospel, Jesus Christ is the greatest, most dependable Person to whom to put our trust.
He took the time to experience the things that we could face in life.
He wanted to be able to give the people the right information about how our lives should be lived.
He went from town to town letting others know about the blessings of the Father.
Teaching, touching, healing, and delivering all who really wanted to have faith in what He was saying.
After His death and resurrection, true life and living became the main thing the disciples needed to present to the people.
The disciples would represent the Lord and all the remarkable things He desired for their lives.
They were how the Lord obtained the assistance needed to get others to trust and stand by His Words.
The Christians of Thessalonica are one such group of people who did.
In this chapter, Paul has commended them for how their lifestyles were in line with what the Lord had said.
He complimented them on how their witnessing was being well-received.
He said, “For from you sounded out the word of the Lord.”
“Not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith.”
That “to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing” (1 Thessalonians 1:8 KJV).
He knew that they were excited about the work they were doing.
They were able to do so because their lives had been changed.
A lifestyle change that made it impossible to keep silent regarding their faith (1 Thessalonians 1:9 KJV).
No feelings of fear could keep them from telling others about Him.
They were determined to do what the Lord had ordained them to do.
That is the same effect salvation should have on our lives.
We are to be disciples that spread the Word.
Having no fear but joy in talking about the benefits of knowing the Lord.
Having others receive God’s grace should be all the motivation we need to tell them about our Savior.
About all that He has done for us.
About all He can do for them.
The great part is that we are not limited to one area.
Nothing is stopping us from spreading the Word all over the world.
Others will use what they hear and experience as testimonies to how they came to know the Lord.
The more we abound in Him, the greater the testimonies get.
There is nothing like the new life we receive when we put our trust in Him.
When we come to realize the love, peace, joy, and sacrifices that He made for us.
Without delay, let us flee from any sins that have us bound.
Let us seek refuge in Christ and His salvation,
To take the time to tell anyone who will listen about what the Lord has done for you.
About the blessings He is waiting to bestow on their lives too.
As His disciples, there will always be a time to spread the Word.
Let us always be ready.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we are Your disciples. There will always be a time when we can tell someone about You. It should be our desire to do it with a heart of joy and gladness. We want to be a living testimony of all the blessings You wish to exhibit in our lives. To let others know about the benefits that come because of the deliverance we receive. That they are blessings that last forever. Our place with You in Heaven being the greatest of them all. You have given us a life brand new, and we will forever worship You. Thank You Savior for all You are doing in our lives.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
