Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off. Isaiah 33:17 KJV
We all have done something that caused us to step back and have serious thoughts about our situation.
How we need to stop being disobedient and going against God’s Word.
Sitting back, looking, and listening to what the Lord is telling us.
He is in control of all things.
The Prophet Isaiah was telling us about a time when God’s people would stop going against what they were being told.
The need for them to return to God.
He told them, “Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar” (Isaiah 33:17 NIV).
The “view of the land that stretches afar” is saying that we will be lifted above our current circumstances and will see things in a more eternal way.
It is good to know that during our difficult times, the Lord allows us to see our lives from His viewpoint and how we can regain the hope that we have lost.
“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us” (v.22).
As believers our prayers are heard, salvation is freely given, and we find peace in our times when we feel like all hope is gone.
Always lifting our eyes to the Lord who is glorious and our Mighty One (v.21).
In You, Savior, we have all we need or can desire.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, we know we all have fallen short in many areas of our lives. Causing us to sin and go against Your Word. When we look back on our situations, we are thankful that You opened our eyes and gave us the ability to be delivered from them all. Going forward we will lift our eyes, looking to You. and finding the peace we desire.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
