Rest, Without Interruptions

Read: Psalms 3

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. Psalms 3:5 KJV

There will be times when we struggle with different things in our lives.

It is during these times we feel the need to run and hide.

All because our strength to believe things would get better starts to fade and it seems like no relief is in sight.

It is when we begin to realize that we can’t escape, or on our own change our circumstances, we begin to learn to remember what the Word says.

We start to put our trust in God to carry us through.

The book of Psalms is one of the sources I read when I need encouragement and comfort.

King David is one of the Psalmist that honestly brought all his painful situations to God (Psalms 3:1-2).

David would cry out to God because he knew God would protect him, give him strength, and answer his prayers (vv.3-4).

He took so much comfort in this that he didn’t lose sleep worrying about anything or what someone might try to do to him (v.5).

That is how strong his faith and trust was in God.

We should do the same.

We need to pray and cry out to God all that is in our hearts.

Letting our faith and trust in Him help us be victorious.

We achieve it when we take all our situations to Him in prayer.

We will be granted peace and be able to rest because we are in God’s constant and loving presence.

How wonderful it is to be able to lay down, sleep, and wake up the next day; full of joy.

All because we prayed, and the Lord took care of our problems and watched over us through it all.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, there will be times when we are tempted to give up, because we feel there is no way out of our situation. But there always is. When we come to You in prayer, You will make a way. We are thankful for all the prayers You answer. You are always there to hold us up, carry us through all our problems and grant us rest and peace.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
