Read: Psalms 107:21-32
Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
Psalms 107:28 KJV
A sailboat, also known as yachts, is a vessel that is small in size and uses wind power to propel it forward.
The stronger the wind the sailboat would move quickly.
There is an American’s Cup Yacht race that is held as a prestigious championship.
The vessels perform their best depending on their size and the wind speed.
The outcome was great when the crew took note of what they faced and took full advantage of the available wind.
They used their knowledge and skills to maintain control and make it the finish line.
When we think about it, as Christians, we can react the same when it come to our dealing with life’s trying situations.
Some of us can make the best progress when things are not so tough.
While others may require fierce winds to help develop their character.
In any case, the best way to adjust to any condition is with the help of the Savior.
He knows exactly what we can oversee.
The Psalmist said, “For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof” (Psalms 107:25 KJV).
And that “He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still” Psalms 107:29 KJV).
Our Savior has control of all of the trials we face as well as the elements of nature.
The end result will be as He said.
“Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven” (Psalms 107:30 KJV).
We are all winners in the end.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that just like the crew on a sailboat, we cannot determine the strength or direction of the wind. Or when a storm will come. But we can adjust our sails and the way we do things. We can always be prepared when we have the Lord as the Chief Navigator. Prayer is the key. We will always come out victorious in the end. Thank You Father for helping make it threw to the end.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
