Read: 1 Corinthians 15:35-58
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.
1 Corinthians 15:42 KJV
Longevity can be defined as living a longer and healthier life.
We all desire to live a long life.
But we know the body of mankind goes through many changes.
It is subject to sin, sickness, and so many other things in life.
That is where our faith in the Lord makes our lives worthwhile.
We know that the Father sent Him in our image.
That He let Him experience life and death.
So no matter what comes our way, He is there to give us the strength we need.
Always preparing us for the things to come.
We all know that as we grow older or at any given time, we may be called home to live with our Heavenly Father.
That just like our Lord and Savior, those who have passed on one day will “rise again.”
It will be the miraculous restoration of our mortal bodies of flesh and bone transformed to one that will never perish.
What “is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption” (1 Corinthians 15:42 KJV),
The same holds true for those who are called home on the second coming of the Lord.
No matter what life brings our way, we can make it with the Lord as our guide.
He will always warn us when we are going the wrong way.
He will always lead us in the right direction.
The more we lean on Him, the greater our desire to have a body like His, at His resurrection.
We should all want to be fitted for the heavenly state and the glories that will be found.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know we will always have changes that occur in life. That is a time of life and one of death. The good news is that no matter what we go through in life, we can make it with You by our side. And when it is time for us to be called home, we have an even greater life. We will rise and be fitted for a heavenly body and the glories that will come. Thank You for letting us be raised to a state of incorruption.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
