His Design

Read: Ephesians 2:7-13 / 2 Corinthians 5:12-17

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 KJV

There will be times in our lives when we are feeling low.

Moments when we feel unloved or unlovable.

That we are not being appreciated.

It’s not that we want to be the center of attention, but we don’t want to feel invisible to everyone.

We want to feel good about ourselves and the things we are doing.

We just want to hear someone express their appreciation.

It doesn’t always happen that way.

Sometimes we must pat our own selves on the back.

Showing ourselves a healthy sense of self-respect.

To take pride and confidence in knowing who we are and what we can do.

For any of this to happen, we must realize that a right view of ourselves is directly related to a right view of God.

Remembering that He made us.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10)

That He loves us.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John3:16).

We should take a few steps back and think hard about it.

He has shown His grace toward us.

He took the time to create in us a good work like Jesus had and gave us the ability to do it, we should walk in it.

We are well-designed.

We have the power to persuade and strengthen how we make decisions in our lives.

Letting nothing break our spirit and cause us to think or do anything that does not please Him.

When God is the main person in our lives, our behavior is to be one of dignity and honor.

Forsaking anything that would cause us to think badly of ourselves or our worth.

To lead us in ways not pleasing to Him.

God has a way of building our self-esteem.

Our confidence in knowing our worth and abilities.

He would not have created us if He did have a purpose for our lives.

Just like we appreciate when others give us compliments, we need to respond to Him with gratitude for what we mean to Him.

We are His workmanship, created to do a good work.

When we remember this, whatever is troubling our souls will have no power over us.

We will be praising Him because we know that our good works reflect all the knowledge, skills, and abilities He has bestowed on each of us.

He is the King of our lives.

The Keeper of our souls.

Out Way Maker.

His acknowledgment is all we need.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, when the feelings of doubt and unbelief try to hinder our spirits. When it seems like no one appreciates us or the things we have done, let us remember that we are Your workmanship. You are daily blessing us with the knowledge of Your will and what You would have us to do in our lifetime. That Your Holy Spirit has created such a change in our lives, that what we do glorifies You. Even if no one else acknowledges what we have done, You have and always will. You are the most significant person in our lives. Thank You for thinking so highly of us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
