Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 25:17 KJV
Many people have felt discouraged when they see those in need not receiving the assistance they require.
It is frustrating to see those who can assist those who truly desire to live a better life not willing to do so.
They take advantage of and mistreat those who are less fortunate.
Those are the times when we wish there could be a system of world-wide change.
One where we could be back in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2).
Life would be so much better.
Everything was provided.
All we would have to do is work together.
Each of us is of importance when it comes to taking care of the Garden.
We would all have something to contribute.
But we know that will not happen by the laws and rules established by man.
They are forever changing.
Only when our Savior returns will things totally change, for the better.
We all will be in a place of peace.
Treating each other with the same love and respect.
We will all be under the same, never-changing laws that God established.
The ones that man failed to follow.
In the days of Moses, God was showing His kindness toward the slaves when He provided the seventh-year Sabbath.
The year of Jubilee also gave the oppressed the opportunity to get a fresh start in life.
God did not want just a few people to obtain wealth at the expense of the poor.
He was telling them all that they needed to be kind and compassionate to one another.
Which is what He desires to this day.
Even though we may feel we will not be heard, we must continue to show compassion.
Speaking about the things we know should be changed.
Following what God has told us.
Being obedient to the Word.
We are not to treat others with cruelty.
We are not to prevent others from having the same opportunities, freedom, or benefits.
We are to show kindness, and generosity to one another.
Searching our hearts to ensure we obtain wisdom and knowledge.
Both needed to make sure we do things the right way.
When we do this, we are showing God’s love and compassion.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, help us to remember that we all have a part to play during our time on earth. That those who are less fortunate deserve to be treated just as well as those that have all they need. Acknowledging that there will come a time when we all must give an account to You for all we have done. Thank You for the love and compassion You show each of us. That our showing it to one another is what You desire.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
