And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:3 KJV
t is frightening to think that when someone we care about leaves, we think we will never see them again.
They have promised that they are only going away to put things together in the house that all of them will be living in and will be back to get them.
They embrace them and tell them, that wherever they go, they will be with them.
When Jesus died, the disciples had the feeling of being left alone, but they weren’t.
Jesus rose and gave them comfort.
Letting them know that He would be leaving again, but not to let their hearts be troubled, but to keep believing (v.1).
They were not to be troubled because He was going to prepare a place to receive all of them so they could all be together again (v.3).
Heaven is that place. The place where we, His disciples, will one day live.
We may not have a detailed description of Heaven, but we know He has prepared a place for all of us.
Let us continue to live with the hope and assurance of the Heavenly blessings He has in store for all of us who believe.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, let us not be fearful or troubled about the things to come, but have a heart that is kept full of trust. Trusting in the Word and all that You have told us.. Knowing that You have prepared a place for us in Heaven. That we will have a never-ending relationship with You in our new home.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
