Let Go, He’ll Take Care Of It

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. Psalm 13:5 KJV

It is hard not to be discouraged with the things going on in our lives.

Especially when you find yourself dealing with someone who is always insulting.

They are defensive and tends to blame someone else for everything that is going wrong in their lives.

This can be especially hard when we are talking to a loved one.

When we try to tell them about our feelings, or how we have tried to do things, and how they should handle things, they don’t want to listen.

No matter how much you pray and try to get through to them, their way of thinking remains the same.

The situation becomes very frustrating.

The same happens with our prayer-life.

We feel that no matter how many times we pray, God is not listening.

The situation is not changing.

But instead of being discouraged and complaining about it, continue to pray.

God is still listening. He is just waiting on us to truly turn the situation over to Him.

The psalmist complained that he felt that God had long withdrawn from him.

There is always that feeling that if the situation does not change immediately, to think that it will never change.

But He hadn’t and it won’t.

God sometimes hides His face and leaves His own children in the dark concerning their faith in Him.

He wants to see the true state of our wanting.

If we will whole-heartedly trust Him more than any outward trouble, we are facing.

He wants to see if we really understand that our anxious cares are heavy burdens with which we as believers often load ourselves with more than we need.

The sudden, delightful changes in the book of Psalms, are often very remarkable.

When we read it, we pass from a state of low spirits caused by the loss of hope or courage to the height of religious confidence and joy.

We begin to see how the power of faith works in our lives.

How good it is to draw near to God.

If we bring our cares and griefs to the throne of grace, and leave them there, we may go away like Hannah, and our countenances will be no more sad. (1 Samuel 1:18)

Trust in His mercy.

When we do, we can heartily rejoice in the salvation He has given us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we come to You praying that we put ourselves in check and leave all our burdens in Your hands. That they be removed, and our comforts restored. Let our faith in Your mercies fill our hearts with joy and peace.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
