Read: Ephesians 6:10-18
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11 KJV
When we think about “wardrobe,” we begin to visualize what is in our closets.
What we have in our dressers, and other areas where we keep our clothes, shoes, and accessories.
Trying to decide which items go best together.
Hoping that we get the desired compliments from others.
But we all know that the trends change.
Each year there is something new to put on.
Knowing there will always be decisions to make.
Decisions on how we are to keep up with the changes.
It is good to know that the wardrobe of the Lord does not change.
What He has designed is for everyone.
His design is great for any situation in life, especially our battle with the enemy.
For any battle, He has supplied us with all the weapons we need.
Our wardrobe is fixed.
As Paul said, we are to “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11 KJV).
When we do this, we are strapping on the belt of truth.
Putting on the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17 KJV).
And like Paul, by faith we “shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked” (Ephesians 6:16 KJV).
With the armor of God, we are always fully covered and prepared for the battle.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that the prince of darkness is always at war with us. That is the reason we are to keep guard against his deceitful ways. We have to put on the tailormade armor, that You designed for each of us, every day. Knowing that in the end we can be like Paul. Having the confidence that we have “kept the faith.” Thank You, Father, that we can rest on the Word.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
