Read: Psalms 73:15-20 / Psalms 145
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end. Psalms 73:16, 17 KJV
We all want the best for our lives.
Many times we wonder what the consequences of our action may be.
How things will turn out.
How things will change.
We try to do our best and do the right things.
Struggling not to let bad thoughts become a reality.
But it seems like the more we try the harder things get.
The Psalmist was going through many things.
He created his own sanctuary of prayer.
He said, “When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.” (Psalms 73:16 KJV).
He knew his temptations and spoke about them.
His progress showed how faith and grace prevailed in his life.
He kept from speaking the bad thoughts he was feeling.
A sign of repentance from the evil thoughts of the heart.
He faithfully prayed to God to make the things in his life plain.
That is what we all must do.
Instead of letting our situation take control of our lives, we need to create a sanctuary where we can go to God in prayer.
Knowing that when we do, the things that were standing in our way will be destroyed.
All of our afflictions will end in peace.
We will be singing songs of praise.
Thanking Him for bringing us through it all.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, there will be times when the things of life weigh us down. We struggle to figure out how we will oversee our situations. Those are the times we must remember that You are in control. Knowing that all we need to do is create our own sanctuary and come to You in prayer. It is a blessing to know that we can endure the things of life with You by our side. Thank You for it all.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
