Read: Hebrews 11:30-12:1
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1 KJV
It is no secret that the burdens we face in life weigh us down.
They pull on us from every side.
We wonder how we will make it through the struggles we face.
What we have to remember is that as soldiers of Christ, we must let go of anything that will keep us in the situations we are facing.
When we are in a fight with the enemy, we have to fight the battle effectively.
We are to be clothed with the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-17 KJV).
It goes hand in hand with the Father telling us that we are to be runners.
To be a winner in every race we run.
That we are winners when we “lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1 KJV).
We are not to let anything bring us down.
No obstacles should ever block our way.
With His grace and wisdom we can defeat them all.
To let nothing take from us our strength.
He has given us everything we need to endure it all.
Strive to never let worldly weights bring you down.
With God on our side. we are greater than them all.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, help us to keep our faith in You. None of us want to live a life of misery and sin. We want to win the race that is set before us. Knowing that nothing that comes our way can defeat us when we stay rooted in the Word. We want to be the winners of the crown of glory. Thank You for giving us the training we need to succeed.
