Nourishment: How This Wonderful Meal Will Make You Healthy

Read: Psalms 37:1-11

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Psalms 37:3 KJV

With any pregnancy a child can be born prematurely and underweight.

They are placed in the hospital’s neonatal unit until they gain the needed weight.

How quickly they gain it depends on their formula intake.

We all know that formula is what gives them strength-giving nourishment.

The number of calories they burn plays a vital role in their development.

The more they burn the longer it takes for progress to be made.

The same holds true in Christian walk.

While on this journey, we can find our emotional and spiritual supplies being drained.

They are drained by the everyday challenges we face.

Those are the times we need Divine nourishment.

We all know that a doctor will tell the medical staff and parents what the child may need.

The Lord has a way of telling us what we need to help nourish our souls.

How to manage the things that make us sin and weak in faith.

In Psalms 37 David is a part of the Lord’s medical staff.

He encourages us to strengthen our hearts by feeding our souls.

He has told us, “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed” (Psalms 37:3 KJV).

When we are feeling weak, we can feed on the Word.

There we find the reassurance of God’s never-ending faithfulness.

It is always there to give us the nourishment and strength we need.

Keep looking forward with an eye of faith.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, there will always be a time when we are weak. When sin may try to hinder our lives. A time when our bodies need to be nourished. Those are the times we feed on the Word. Receiving all the nourishment we could ask for. It is wonderful to know that as we feed on Your faithfulness, our souls receive all the nourishment needed. Thank You for keeping us well-fed.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
