Our Words Say Much

Read: Psalms 33:19-22 / Romans 8:22-27

Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. Psalms 33:22 KJV

With technology today, we create text messages by speaking into our phones and pressing the send button.

If we are not careful and read what we are sending, we may not catch words that we really did not say.

You may have been sending a message to a friend like, “see you later” and it typed “see you wafer”.

The friend understands what you meant to say and lovingly responds to you in a laughing way.

The same thing happens when we pray.

We have moments when we may not know what to say, are saying something, and it doesn’t come out the way we mean it too or even know what to really ask for.

But when we belong to Christ, His Spirit within us “intercedes for us trough wordless groans” (Romans 8:26 NIV).

That as we put our hope in Him, His love for us is there (Psalms 33:22).

It is a blessing to know that God understands what we are trying to say, and Satan doesn’t.

Even more so, that God is not waiting on us to get our words right.

When we pray in the Spirit, He lovingly helps us tell our worries and concerns to Him.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, how wonderful it is to be able to come to You with all our needs. To know that You understand what we are trying to say when we pray. To know that we are received with love. May we always have the comfort and faith that Your Spirit and grace has brought us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
