Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. Psalms 8:2 KJV
It is always wonderful to see and hear how even the youngest in our midst know and can tell someone about the Lord.
We can sometimes hear them talking to the Lord or even quoting a Scripture.
Sometimes holding their own Bible Study.
They even begin to ask us questions about the Lord.
The Lord has told us that through the very weak and those, many would say are not likely to be used, He can use them.
They may or may not be called to the pulpit, but they can speak in a manner that shows that a seed has been planted in their life and is growing.
That they are not ashamed of the Word and want to be a vessel used to spread it to all who will listen.
Something we all should desire.
David even recognized this when he said, “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger (Psalms 8:2).
To see the power of God being manifested throughout the church, from the youngest to the oldest.
All being able to tell someone about the birth, life, preaching, miracles, suffering, death, return, and rising of the Lord into Heaven.
The Lord even told us again in Matthew 21:16, when the chief priest and scribes talked badly about the children giving praises to Him in the temple at Jerusalem.
Jesus quoted the Scripture to show them that God took seriously the praises of these children.
That they were doing what they, as leaders, were not willing to do.
That they really knew what it meant to give God the glory for the longed-for Messiah.
To this day, children have a place in giving the Lord praise and spreading the Word.
It takes some to hear it “out of the mouth of babes” before they begin to understand what the Lord is trying to tell them.
It doesn’t stop there.
Out of our hearts, we all should desire to live and do according to His will.
To be there to for each other, especially the children.
Let us continue to encourage our children to learn more about the Lord.
To follow the call the Father has placed on their lives.
He desires for them to bring Him glory.
He desires to use all of us for the good of the Kingdom.
Out of a willing heart, let us give Him all the honor and praise.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we know that even a child can be a vessel used for the glory of the Kingdom. That no matter how old we are, let us have a willing heart to give You praise and be a used as a vessel for Your glory.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
