Overcome: Finding Great Faith in His Wonderful Life Provisions

Today’s Reading: Hebrews 13:1-6

Today’s Verse: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5 KJV

There are times when we feel like our back is against the wall. All our hope is gone. Times we even ask ourselves if there is a reason to go on. It can be a long road. We begin to feel weary in our souls.

I know this verse is basically focused on keeping our lives free from the love of money. For us to be content with what we have, But I want to focus on the part that He says, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Those are the times we have to remember that God has not given up on us. The fact that He will always be with us in every area of our lives. Ready to help us. To be by our side through every hard time.

“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.” Psalms 37:24 KJV.

King David even knew that even if we fall, God is there to lift us back up. He was speaking about his personal knowledge of how God treats both the good and the bad. To trust and obey God’s character. To keep doing that which is good.

Isaiah 41:10 KJV tells us, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

We are to replace our anxiety with trust. We are to lean on God’s direct promises: His presence, His identity as our God, His active strength, His practical help, and His supportive hand.

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 KJV.

God will always finish what He started. He will not walk away from us when we stumble. He will always be a constant and encouraging presence in helping us overcome our fears.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we often forget about Your great promises. Please continue to remind us of them. It is great to know that You said You would never leave us. That You will never turn Your back on us. In the times when we feel alone or worried, give us peace. We know we are safe because You are with us. We want Your presence to fill our hearts with joy. We know that we are always safe because You are with us. As we begin this new day, fill our hearts with Your peace and guide our steps. Grant us the strength to face today’s challenges. Give us the wisdom to make kind choices. A spirit of gratitude for Your constant love. Thank You for telling us You will never leave us or forsake us.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
