How true the song, Amazing Grace, speaks to the state of a lot of our lives.
The Word is a sweet sound, that saves us from our sins.
Sins we were once lost in, but because of the Lord ‘s love for us, were found.
We were blind, trying to do things our way, but now we see.
The parable of the shepherd looking to find his lost sheep is very applicable to the great work of man’s redemption.
The sheep represents the sinner who has departed from God.
God is the Shepherd looking to find His lost sheep.
A sinner is shown how sins can ruin us, if we do not repent or come back to Him.
And just like the shepherds counted their sheep to make sure every one of them was accounted for, Christ values each of us, no matter who we are or our age.
When or if we are lost, He desires to find us.
When we are going about our lives, trying to determine what our purpose may be, it is never too late to turn to Christ.
Christ loves us and wants nothing more than to bring sinners home.
Home to experience His love and blessings.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, Thank You for the mercy and grace given us. May we all rejoice for Your receiving us back even though we have sinned. It is the unspeakable love and happiness we feel that keeps us close to our Father’s house. Happy that we can, that we are and that we will forever be with Him.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
