Life is full of stories. Some good and some bad.
It is a good work to aid and help one another. We all need encouragement to help get and keep us on the right path.
The Bible has many stories that express how we can find a state of happiness in every condition of life.
The apostle was often in bonds, imprisonments, and other circumstances. Because of this, he learned to be content, to bring his mind to his condition, and make the best of it.
We may not be physically imprisoned, but our circumstances can lead us to be prideful, unbelieving and to go after those things that are harmful.
When we find ourselves in these situations, let us pray for patient submission, hope, humility and a heavenly mind.
Knowing that even in our lowest state or prosperous condition, we are not to be proud, or worldly.
We are not to lose our comfort in God, nor distrust His Word.
The apostle had no design to persuade them to give more, but to encourage such kindness as will meet a glorious reward hereafter.
Through Christ we have the grace to do what is good.
We have all things through Him, let us do all things for Him, and to his glory.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, teach us to revel in and make the most of the wonderful knowledge that You give us. How You provide everything we need. Thank You for all the love You have bestowed on us.
