BROTHERLY LOVE

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more.  1 Thessalonians 4:9-10 KJV

The saying, “We are our brothers keeper”, is often said, because we are to be there for one another.

Be there when things start going wrong. When they need someone to talk to. When someone needs assistance in staying on the right path. Even  when we are not with that person or just see them and get a feeling deep down inside that they need a prayer sent up on their behalf.

It doesn’t stop there.

We could see someone we don’t know, in passing, who show signs of distress. We could be passing by someone and something in our spirit tells us to say a prayer for that person. We may even get the feeling to just start a conversation with them, they tell you some things and ask for prayer.

The devil is always busy and tries to make it hard for us to receive our blessings, but that’s when we pray all the more for each other and hope that things work out well.

God is love and He made us to care for one another and be kind to one another.

That is when our faith, the “brotherly love” that is embedded in us really shows.

And as the Lord continues to show us love, we should do likewise to others.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Lord, what we learn through the Spirit regarding our love for one another, exceeds anything man could ever say.  Help us to know how to exhibit love in the way needed for the situation our brother or sister is facing.  Thank you Lord for your never ending love.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen
