Forgiveness: Received When You Really Acknowledge His Enormous Sacrifice

Read: Luke 23:33-38

And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Luke 23:33 KJV

None of us can say that they are free from sin.

We all have some things we need to work on.

We need to work on them right now instead of later.

The Word tells us, “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1 KJV).

This passage tells us that none of us are promised tomorrow.

We do not know when our last day of life will be.

Knowing this, as believers, we are to be rooted in the Word.

To continuously change how we spend our daily lives.

The Father does not want any one of us to wait until we are on our death bed to try to make the change.

There is so much we can be doing for the kingdom today.

Getting the multitude of blessings He desires for our lives.

He does not want us to wait like the “the malefactors” who hung on crosses beside Jesus. “One on the right hand, and the other on the left” (Luke 23:33 KJV).

They both had committed crimes, whereas Jesus had not.

While Christ was hanging on the cross, He said, “Father, forgive them” (Luke 23:34 KJV).

He was asking for forgiveness for us all.

Because of Christ the Father has so graciously afforded us the opportunity for forgiveness.

None of us can say we will have the opportunity before we die to ask for forgiveness.

Now is the time to ask for the forgiveness of our sins.

To acknowledge all that the Savior did to free us from sin.

Going forward vowing to live according to the Word.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Father, we know we all have our moments when we struggle live according to Your purpose. We need to change our plans and the way we think. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. Our repentance is the only way to hear Him say, “Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43 KJV). It is where we all should desire to be. Thank You for making it possible.

In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
