The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. Isaiah 40:7 KJV
Growing up I remember the times when we had yellow dandelions growing in the yard.
They would change, turning into white puffed dandelions.
We would pluck them and blow off the white seed pods. Watching them parachute into the air.
Those were the good old days.
Things have changed so much.
I look at my children and grandchildren, thinking about what the world could become for them.
We already see so many changes that leave room for us to question it.
Those are the times I have to remind myself of what the Lord has told us in Isaiah 40.
It gives great comfort to know we can have hope for our loved ones and their futures.
The power of God and His Word will always prevail over anything this world may bring.
Evil “nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance” (Isaiah 4:15 KJV),
The Father can blow the mightiest of them away, just like we can blow the seed pods off the dandelion (Isaiah 40:7 KJV).
The Word of the Lord can do that for us, which all flesh cannot.
When we think on these things we no longer need to worry.
We know that the Father is sovereign, powerful, and good in every way.
That we and generations to come, are safe in His hands.
He has told us that, “the glory of the Lord shall be revealed (Isaiah 40:5 KJV).
Trusting in Him leaves no room for fear.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, continue to prepare our hearts by the teaching of Your Word. Let the conviction of Your Spirit continue to bring down our thoughts that cause us to have doubts and fears. Let the goodness of the Word grow abundantly in us. We want to be ready for Your will on earth. Prepared for Your heavenly kingdom.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
