Music and songs have a power that no one can ignore.
It can be vocal or instrumental sounds.
The best types are when the music and lyrics combined really give you a sense of love and peace.
It is a way we express our feelings and anything we need to talk about.
In the book of Psalms, God gifted David to be a sweet singer of Israel.
Providing us with many of the great expressions of praise that we can relate too.
David was going through many things, but always found the time to sing songs of praise, with words that gave honor to the Lord.
They were, and still are, so uplifting and inspiring.
That is what music and songs should do for us.
When the heart is firm in faith and love, the tongue, being employed in grateful praises, is our glory.
Music has power. Let’s use it for our good.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we are chosen of You. We vow to sing the highest praise to You. The melody of the music and the words we sing show all the wondrous ways You have loved and provided for us. Let us forever sing a song of praise to You. Thank You for all you have and will do for us.
