We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.
2 Peter 1:19 KJV
A biography is the story of a real person’s life.
How they lived, the things they went through and their outcomes.
I have often looked at the Bible as such.
It is our sure Word of prophecy.
It is God telling us the stories of the lives of real people.
From the time of man’s creation.
Including the birth, demanding times, crucifixion and the rising of the Lord.
The Divine guidance and inspiration that the followers of those times received.
There are verses where the prophets tell the truth and reality of the gospel.
They spoke and wrote under the influence and guidance of the Spirit of God.
Our reading will remind us of how firm and sure our faith should be and that we can rest upon the Word.
The more we read, the more we learn.
We learn to feel a power, see a glory, taste a sweetness, and know that the Scriptures are a revelation of the mind and will of God.
Every one of us should search it, to understand the sense and meaning.
To learn about His name, His will, and His salvation.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, with wonder and with praise, we will read Your Word. Your wisdom, power, and grace abound throughout it. Thank You for making Yourself known to us through the Bible. It is a special Book. May we take the time to read it over and over again.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
