And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 KJV
We all love the ability to give gifts.
There is nothing like the good feelings they bring.
They make us feel like we have added something meaningful to someone’s life.
Being there for them makes all the difference.
Fathers must remember that the greatest gift that they can give to their children is the gift of himself.
The gift of fatherhood is a blessing.
One that should be cherished.
The ability to be there for their family is what any man should strive for.
Every child needs a home where they feel safe and are loved.
That is what a father provides.
A good father will always provide the same love, godly advice, and wisdom he has received from the Lord.
Living according to the Word, gives a father the strength to “provoke not [their] children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
Leading their children in the right direction (Proverbs 3:1-12).
It is God’s desire that we bring our children up well, in the proper and compassionate ways He has commanded.
Knowing it will give them the knowledge of how God desires that we live.
Dad don’t forget your children. They really do need you and all the gifts you can bring to their lives.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we are thankful for the fathers that are there for their children. We pray that they will continue to be there for them. Leading and guiding them according to the Word. To be a good example for their children of what a father should be. For those who are not, we pray that they will see the need to have a change in heart and become the fathers they were predestined to be. Every child needs a good father.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
