And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalms 1:3 KJV
Throughout the year there are times to plant certain things.
With anything we plant, we have to make sure that we do it the right way so that roots can properly grow in the ground.
We have to give them them proper care and nourishment.
As they grow it appears that all is well.
Then something happens and some of the plants survive while others begin to wither away.
We wonder why some made it while others didn’t.
It has been said it was because some of the had deep roots and received the nourishment they needed. They grew.
While those that withered had shallow roots and was not able to receive the nourishment they needed to grow. They didn’t make it.
The same holds true for our lives.
The Lord has told us that we “shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water” (Psalms 1:3).
The Word is our soil and we need to keep it watered so we can grow.
When we plant the Word in our lives, we have to take care that it is deeply rooted in us.
We need to let His Word grow deeper than deep.
So when the storms of life start to rage, our souls are anchored.
We are steadfast and unmovable.
Growing stronger every day.
In every season bringing forth fruit.
For those who love the beauty of a plant and the joy it brings, that is what our lives bring when the Word springs forth in our lives.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Savior, just like we take time to care for the things we plant around us, we must have a constant regard for the Word. Making sure the roots run deep and are properly watered as we desire to have it grow in our lives. We want our lives to grow and produce the fruits You desire. Thank You for showing us how to do it.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
