Sensational Ways of Life – Nothing but Guaranteed Positive Results

He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. Proverbs 10:17 KJV

We know when driving on the freeway we can get distracted.

Thankfully, there are small grooves on the pavement along the shoulder.

When the tires roll over them, they make a sound.

The sound is the warning to drivers when they are drifting off the road.

They get our attention and hopefully cause us to be cautious about what we are doing.

Some will respond properly to the warning and some will not.

The Bible does the same.

We will be on the right path and begin to sway.

When we constantly let sinful pleasures rule our lives, we lose interest in the Word.

Then, something else happens.

We remember something that we previously learned.

The Word alerts us that we are heading in the wrong direction.

It is God’s way to correct us when we begin to lose sight of what He has for us.

There will be some who continue to do what they want and not listen to what they are being told.

“The road to life is a disciplined life; ignore correction and you’re lost for good” (Proverbs 10:17 MSG).

His commandments are the lamps in our lives, the law is our light, and His reproofs the instructions we need in our lives (Proverbs 6:23).

God is always sending us warnings to protect us, not to punish us because He wants the best for all of us.

A WORD OF PRAYER

Dear Savior, there are areas in our lives where we have behaved in a way that goes against all You have told us. You have warned us of the troubles we will face when we do this. Forgive for doing this and help us to heed all the warnings You give. We know they are given to protect us not to punish us. Thank You for all the love and care You provide.

In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
