Read: Ephesians 5:1-5 / 1 John 4:7-12
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Ephesians 5:1-2 KJV
As we venture through life it is always good to hear someone acknowledge the love they feel when they see or speak to us.
It is a confirmation that we are living according to the Word (1 John 4:12 KJV).
That others really see God being revealed in our lives.
A love that was shown to us because God, through the sacrifice of Jesus, has forgiven us our sins.
A change much needed in the world.
When we acknowledge this change, through the Word, the Holy Spirit begins to lead and guide our thoughts and steps.
We are followers of God walking in love (Ephesians 5:1 KJV).
There may be times when we do not understand why we do some of the things we do.
Just know that there is someone watching us.
We never know whose life we may be affecting.
Be that shining light of love for all the world to see.
Because there will always be someone who needs the love and pardoning goodness that the Father desires to give.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, may we be the shining light for all the world to see. It is important to realize that just one small gesture of brotherly love may be all that it takes for someone to find faith in Christ. There is nothing like knowing that the sacrifice of love we show is a “sweetsmelling savour” that has great meaning. We are glad that You have given us the chance to display Your goodness and love to others.
