Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John 5:39 KJV
Research is something that never grows old.
There is always something new and interesting for us to learn.
We should never feel that because we have read something once that we know everything there is to know about that subject.
There will always be times when we read it again and we learn something new.
Something we missed the first time around.
The same holds true with our Spiritual lives.
When we study God’s Word.
This research can be easily done, because all that information is found in the Bible.
It tells us everything we need to know about God, our Father.
We just have to remember that when we read the Word, we won’t learn all there is to know in one reading.
Our focus is to be on knowing the purpose for which God has given us His Book.
It is for us to learn who He is and all that He has done for us.
For all that He continues to do.
The Apostle Paul said that he counted “all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:8).
His desire was to know Him (Philippians 3:10).
He knew there was so much to learn about Him and all that He does for us.
Jesus even urged the people to search the Scriptures with more effort and care.
We too should have the same desire to study the written Word and come to know God for ourselves.
Jesus urged them to search those Scriptures with more diligence and attention.
He wants us to know all we can about Him.
Never stop reading.
There is always something to be learned.
With the knowledge we obtain, comes many rewards.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we are thankful for those who worked with You to write the Bible.
The many ways we can search and find all that we need to know about You. We will always learn something new about You when we read the Word. We really do have a desire to know You.
In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen
