Love can be defined as a strong like for something, as well as a deep affection for another person.
There is nothing like the joy it brings when we do things for one another out of love.
Jesus was sent by the Father to show His love for us.
His love is shown to us every day of our lives.
We need to show Him love.
A confession of our sins and living according to the Word shows our love.
Our desire to live a holy life.
There will be temptations, times when we laugh, times when we cry.
These are times when our love is being tested.
Love teaches us to suffer for Him and with Him.
True love to God assures believers of God’s love to them.
When we are obedient and do good works willingly, it is showing love and benefits others along the way.
It also shows that we are trusting that we one day we all will be glorified with Him.
Revelation, the last book of the Bible describes a new love song that will someday lift the voices of everyone in Heaven and Earth (Revelation 5:9, 14).
John, our narrator, might start off crying because he doesn’t see an answer to all the problems in the world, but his mood changes as he learns the real glory and meaning of love (vv. 3-4, 12-13).
One day there will be a day of universal judgement.
Let us be one of the happy ones who found and acknowledged God’s love.
The love He showed us through the death and resurrection of the Lord.
Making it possible to have holy boldness before the Judge, knowing that He is our Friend and the One who showed us love by sacrificing Himself.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, we appreciate and sing praises to You for the love You have shown us. Please help us to see that even the smallest acts of love and kindness can remind others of Your love for all of us. We love You!
