By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Hebrews 11:7 KJV
From the beginning of the world, Faith has always been the mark of God’s servants.
The Spirit of God brings us a new life.
A new life that is possible when we believe and receive the truth of His Word.
To do this, we must seek Him with our whole heart.
Noah is one example of how faith caused him to obey God’s command and build the ark.
His faith made it possible for him to ignore the unbelief of others.
Because of his obedience, evil, and the unbelief of others, did not have any success in trying to get him to rebel against what God was telling him to do.
Noah exhibited two traits that should act as a guide for us all.
First, he was a just man, perfect in his generations and one who walked with God (Genesis 6:9).
Second, when he received a command from God, he was moved with godly fear to take action (Hebrew 11:7).
His actions show how a believer, being warned of God to not be fearful of the evil to come.
To take refuge in Him and become heirs of the righteousness of faith.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that good examples either convert sinners or condemns them. The Bible gives us the most true and exact account of all things. That all the works of creation were brought into being by the command of the Father. Let us be like Noah and hasten to obey.
