No matter the struggle, temptation or fear, we can always find comfort in prayer and the Word.
The Scriptures repeatedly tell us that God is always near and loves us, but sometimes we struggle to believe it.
The Apostle Paul prayed for the believers in Ephesus to have strength and power to grab hold of this truth.
That he was a prisoner of Jesus Christ, not of man, fulfilling that which he was called to do.
That they were not to be discouraged and faint upon his tribulations or for what he himself had to bear.
We all will face some trials and tribulations as we strive to do what the Lord has called us to do.
Just like Paul asked for spiritual blessings, which are the best blessings, we should also.
He knew that strength from the Spirit of God in the inner man was what he needed. Along with strength in his soul and strength in his faith.
We all need this strength.
When we have this, we have the ability to serve God, and to do our duty.
God is always near despite our struggles, temptations, or fears.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Lord, we know that if Your Word is written in our hearts, we have Your love, and You dwell among us. Therefore, we are not to worry about the struggles and temptations we may face. Your Spirit dwells in us, giving us the strength, we need to handle anything we face. Thank You for always being close by and allowing us to call out to You any time of the day.
