For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Matthew 16:27 KJV
The more we monitor the decisions we make, the more we know what may need to change for the better.
We must invest wisely.
When we do, we reap many benefits.
The same holds true with our spiritual lives.
The choices we make have a great impact on how things go in the end.
When we repent of our sins and accept Christ as our Savior, we are making the wisest investment of all.
It’s an investment that will determine how we currently live.
But most importantly, how we will dwell at the end of our lives.
The longer we live according to the Word, the greater our investment.
The Bible has told us that as we “live godly in Christ Jesus [we will] suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12 KJV).
As Christians we will endure some hardships in both our physical and spiritual lives.
There will be things that cause us to suffer because of what we are believing in.
The saving of our souls is worth more than anything this world could offer.
We all know the saying, “You can’t take it with you.”
It refers to our earthly achievements.
All the physical things.
It is good to know that the wisdom we achieve in our spiritual lives will follow us.
The way we have lived our lives is recognized.
Because we listened to His guidance and made the choices that were going to be right for us in the end.
These bring even greater blessings in the end.
Always remembering what the Savior told us, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (Matthew 16:24 KJV).
We are to deny ourselves.
It can be hard.
But His guidance will always bring blessings in the end.
Always look at our Master.
How He learned, all He went through to redeem us, as well as what He desires to teach us.
With His guidance, we can walk the same walk.
“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works” (Matthew 16:27 KJV).
We can make serving the Lord the greatest investment that pays us with eternal dividends and returns.
Rejoicing in our sufferings because we know the Lord’s glory will be revealed. Leaving us glad and with exceeding joy (1 Peter 4:13 KJV).
It will be so worth it when we see the Savior.
Hearing Him say, “Well Done.”
Words we all desire to hear.
Happily receiving our reward for investing wisely.
A WORD OF PRAYER
Father, the trials of life were made known through Christ. He paid the price for our souls. It is up to us to receive the knowledge He wishes to give us. Knowledge that will help us invest wisely to receive eternal benefits. You are the greatest Advisor known to mankind. Thank You for all You teach us.
In Jesus’ Name We Pray, Amen
